What is happening?

THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL (BUCCLEUCH PLACE) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025 – TEMP/25/78

The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate Scottish Water lead renewal works, no person shall: (a) except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform, drive or cause or permit any vehicle to be driven otherwise than in a west to east direction on Buccleuch Pl between Buccleuch Pl La and Buccleuch St; and (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on Buccleuch Pl (1) (south side); and (2) (centre of carriageway) from the north-west kerbline of Buccleuch St southwestwards to the south-east kerbline of Buccleuch Pl La. Existing parking restrictions will be suspended on the affected sections of roads described. The alternative route for vehicles is Buccleuch St, Chapel St, Crichton St, George Sq, George Sq La, Meadow La and Buccleuch Pl. The order shall have effect from 2/7/25 to 11/7/25.
