Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make and/or have made the order the effect of which will be to:

Barrow Street, Barrow Gurney, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 18 August 2025

Ref: T25-31

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of highway drainage maintenance works and will become operative on 18 August 2025, anticipated to be five working days.

The maximum period for the closure is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule – Barrow Street, Barrow Gurney – From the junction with School Lane to the junction with Hobbs Lane. Alternative routes – Barrow Street, Bridgwater Road, Colliters Way, Long Ashton By-pass, Clevedon Road, Main Road and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which will be to:

West Dundry Lane, Dundry North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 7 July 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to replace frames and covers. The order will become operative on the 7 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be one day in duration.

Schedule – West Dundry Lane – at the junction of Oxleaze Lane outside property Greenhayes.

Brockley Lane, Brockley North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 15 July 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to provide underground service.

The order will become operative on the 15 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be six hours in duration between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water to replace frames and covers. This order will become operative on the 7 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be three days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – Badger Rise – from outside property of No 2 for approx 100 metres towards Weatherly Drive.

St Georges Hill, Easton-in-Gordano, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 13 July 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to renew lead service pipe. This order will become operative on the 13 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be one day in duration.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – St Georges Hill – outside No. 34 from junction St Georges Close for 300m westwards.

Strode Road, Clevedon North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 8 September 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to provide underground service.

This order will become operative on the 8 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of six hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 8 September 2025

This order will become operative on the 8 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be three days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

NOTICE OF INTENT

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

North Somerset Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council propose to make an order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of which will be to implement paid parking charges for Clevedon East Car Park, Great Western Road West and Marson Road Car Parks in Clevedon.

The details of the charges along with times of operation and other related details are described in the schedules to this notice.

Full details of the proposal are contained in the Draft Order which, together with the plan referred to in Schedule 1 and a Statement of the Council’s reason for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected at the following locations:

The general effect of the Order will be to amend the North Somerset Council (Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation Order 2022 as indicated in the schedules below.
