What is happening?

LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ST ANNES ROAD WEST, LYTHAM ST ANNES, FYLDE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of St Annes Road West, Lytham St Annes
i. St Annes Road West from its junction with Clifton Drive and from its junction with The Crescent.
ii. St Annes Road West from its junction with Clifton Drive and Orchard Road
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative
i. St Annes Road West from its junction with Clifton Drive and from its junction with The Crescent nightly from 1900 hours until 0500 hours on Monday 30th June 2025 until Wednesday 2nd July 2025
ii. St Annes Road West from its junction with Clifton Drive and Orchard Road from 0500 hours until 1800 hours on Wednesday 2nd July 2025
4. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Emergency services access will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
i. Clifton Drive North – St Leonards Road West – St Davids Road North – The Crescent.
ii. Clifton Drive South – St Thomas Road – St Davids Road South – The Crescent
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow resurfacing of existing carriageway to be carried out.
