THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(CALOW & HOLMEWOOD)
(NO WAITING AT ANY TIME) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that; on the 19th day of June 2025 the Derbyshire County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into operation on the twenty third day of June 2025 and its effect is:
TO PROHIBIT WAITING AT ANY TIME BY VEHICLES (EXCEPT THOSE DELIVERING OR COLLECTING GOODS OR LOADING AND UNLOADING) ON THE FOLLOWING LENGTHS OF ROAD:
Church Lane, Calow
West Side
From its junction with the A632 Top Road in a northerly direction for a distance of 28 metres.
From a point a point 42 metres south of its junction with Church Meadows in a north easterly direction to its junction with North Road.
East Side
From its junction with the A632 Top Road in a northerly direction for a distance of 77 metres.
Both Sides
From its junction with Blacksmiths Lane in a south westerly direction for a distance of 19 metres.
Church Meadows, Calow
North Side
From its junction with Church Lane in a westerly direction for a distance of 21 metres.
South Side
From its junction with Church Lane in a westerly direction for a distance of 24 metres.
North Road, Calow
Both Sides
From its junction with Church Lane in a westerly direction for a distance of 16 metres.
A632 Chesterfield Road, Calow
South Side
From its western entry to the A632 Chesterfield Road (Service Road) in an easterly direction for a distance of 41 metres.
A632 Chesterfield Road (Service Road), Calow
North Side
From its eastern entry onto the A632 Chesterfield
Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 50 metres.
South Side
From a point 60 metres from its eastern entry onto the A632 Chesterfield Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 4.5 metres.
A632 Top Road, Calow
North Side
From a point 24 metres west of its junction with Blacksmith Lane to a point 16 metres east of that junction.
Blacksmith Lane, Calow
East Side
From its junction with the A632 Top Road in a northerly direction for a distance of 17.5 metres.
West Side
From its junction with the A632 Top Road in a northerly direction for a distance of 20 metres.
South-East Side
From a point 18 metres north west of its junction with Church Lane to a point 21.5 metres south east of that junction.
Gables Close, Homewood
West Side
From its junction with the A6175 Heath Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 76 metres.
East Side
From its junction with the A6175 Heath Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 90 metres.
Exemptions will be made for vehicles used in connection with any building operation or demolition; removal of any obstruction to traffic; carrying out of statutory powers or as part of a funeral or wedding cortege. The usual exemptions for disabled persons’ vehicles displaying a valid disabled person’s badge will also apply. Any permanent Traffic Regulation Orders made prior to this Order, insofar as they relate to the lengths of road listed above, will be revoked.
A copy of the Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection at the County Council’s principal offices known as County Hall on Smedley Street in Matlock, Holmewood Post Office, 32 Heath Road, Holmewood, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, S42 5RA & Calow Post Office, Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Shop in the Royal Hospital, Calow, Chesterfield, S44 5BL during opening hours and on request by emailing

quoting reference Z3432, until 6 weeks after the Order is made until 31st of July 2025.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the ground that a requirement of that Act or any relevant regulation made under it has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the 19th of June 2025 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
