Braybrooke Farm to the west of Oxendon Road - Public Footpath Diversion order

PUBLIC FOOTPATH GC13 (PART) PARISH OF BRAYBROOKE FOOTPATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025
On 19th June 2025 North Northamptonshire Council (the Council) made the above Order under section 118 and 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as made will divert an area of the highway being part of Public Footpath GC13 over the land situated at Braybrooke Farm to the west of Oxendon Road and the village of Braybrooke. The first section of GC13 to be diverted starts at Point A National Grid Reference (“NGR”) SP 7568 8440 at the footpath’s junction with Oxendon Road and then travels in a general north-westerly direction across two tilled fields for approximately 1,175 metres to point B NGR SP 7464 8491.
The new route for GC13 starts at Point A at NGR SP7568 8440. It then continues in a north easterly direction for 124 metres to Point C at NGR SP7576 8449, before turning in a north-westerly direction for 1,190 metres to Point D at NGR SP 7476 8502. It then travels in a south-westerly direction for 170 metres to Point B at NGR SP 7464 8491.
The existing route is shown as a solid black line with no recorded width and the new route as a dashed red line on the attached plan (“Plan”) and the route will have a recorded width of 1.8m.

Any representations about or objections to the Order must be received by 31st July 2025 at the address given below and not later than. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the North Northamptonshire Council may themselves confirm the Order as an unopposed Order.
If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it.
Any person who wishes to claim compensation under section 28 as applied by section 121(2) of the 1980 Act for depreciation or damage for disturbance arising as a result of the coming into force of the order must make a claim in writing addressed to Jonathan Pearson, Head of Highways Delivery, North Northamptonshire Council, Sheerness House, 41 Meadow Road, Kettering, NN16 8TL, and serve it by delivering it at, or sending it by prepaid post to the address not later than 1 February 2026.
