Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 26 June 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (A509 (PART), OLNEY) (TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2132)
The effect of the above Order traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along A509, Olney (from a point 75 metres south-west of its junction with Lime Street, Olney, continuing for a distance of 450 metres in a south-westerly direction) at a speed in excess of 30mph, whilst the Olney Riverfest Event takes place, because of the likelihood of danger to the public.
The temporary 30mph speed restriction will be in effect from 11.30am to 2.30pm on Sunday 6th July 2025 and will only be in force when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 24th June 2025, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (PORTWAY AND WATLING STREET (PARTS), GREAT HOLM) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2204)
The effect of the above Order traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following lengths of road to allow Kori Construction to carry out works to replace the kerbs at the old Great Holm Fire Station location.
H5 Portway from its junction with Watling Street to its junction with Kensington Drive.
The closure will be in effect from 30th June to 14th July 2025 (between the hours of 09:30am and 15:30pm each day).
Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route will be via Watling Street, Dansteed Way and Grafton Street.
V4 Watling Street from its junction with Highgrove Hill to its junction with Portway.
The closure will be in effect from 28th July to 11th August 2025 (between the hours of 09:30am and 15:30pm each day).
Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route will be via Dansteed Way and Fulmer Street and Portway.
PUBLIC NOTICE 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN BROUGHTON, LITTLE CRAWLEY, SHENLEY WOOD, WALTON AND WAVENDON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2175)
The effect of the above traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following lengths of road to allow Anglian Water to undertake maintenance works within the carriageway.
Chasewater Crescent, Broughton outside numbers 1 - 11.
The closure will be in effect from 16th to 18th July 2025 (between the hours of 08:00am and 17:00pm each day).
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Ulverston Crescent (and vice versa).
Fulmer Street, Shenley Wood (northbound only) from its junction with Childs Way to its junction with Chalkdell Drive.
The closure will be in effect on 23rd and 24th July 2025 (between the hours of 09:30am and 16:30pm each day).
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Childs Way, Tattenhoe Street and Portway (and vice versa).
Gog Lane, Little Crawley from its junction with A422 to outside Horncastle Barn.
The closure will be in effect from 30th July to 1st August 2025 (between the hours of 08:00am and 17:00pm each day).
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via A422 and Chicheley Road (and vice versa).
Newport Road, Wavendon its access road to the Petrol Station.
The closure will be in effect from 21st to 23rd July 2025 (between the hours of 08:00am and 17:00pm each day).
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via A421 Standing Way.
Simpson Road, Walton from its junction with Beales Lane to its junction with Simpson Drive.
The closure will be in effect from 1st to 3rd July 2025 (between the hours of 08:00am and 17:00pm each day).
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Chase Avenue, Brickhill Street, Groveway and Simpson Drive (and vice versa).

Public Notices for Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 26th June 2025:
PUBLIC NOTICE 4:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 24th June 2025 made the following two Traffic Regulation Orders, under Sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
1) Milton Keynes City Council (The Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes) (Central Milton Keynes (On-Street Standard Tariff Parking Places) Order 2020) Variation Order 2025
2) Milton Keynes City Council (The Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes) (Central Milton Keynes (On-Street Premium Tariff Parking Places) Order 2020) Variation Order 2025
The general effect of the above made Orders will be as follows:
to remove all existing car share parking places in Central Milton Keynes and replace with standard tariff and premium tariff parking places.
to remove all existing free and limited waiting parking places in Central Milton Keynes and replace with standard tariff and premium tariff parking places.
The made Order will take effect on 31st July 2025.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
