What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY 40 / 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT
CHESTERFIELD ROAD, BRAMLEY VALE

WHEN: 11 July to 12 July 2025 (20:00 to 06:00).
WHERE: It will be necessary to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 40 mph (30 mph past areas of works), from its junction with the M1 J29 Interchange to its junction with Mansfield Road.
REASON: To facilitate highway maintenance works.
The restriction will be in force for the time stated or until the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire - 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 40 mph.
