PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD
TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council intend, not less than
seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being or proposed to be executed on or
near the roads and the effect will be to prohibit any vehicle from entering, proceeding
or waiting in that length of Wellingley Lane at Tickhill in the City of Doncaster District
as described in the Schedule to this notice on the dates and times referred to in the
said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the workforce whilst the
provision of both specialist carriageway spray injection patching and inlaid
carriageway patching works are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order is
as described in the Schedule to this notice.
Any vehicle that is in contravention of the waiting restriction imposed by this Order
may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles
Regulations 1986. Any contravention of the prohibitions or restrictions imposed by
this Order may result in a Penalty Charge Notice being issued and the subsequent
removal of a vehicle.

The Proposed Order will continue in force up to and including the 17th day of August
2025 or until the works which it is proposed to carry out in or near the said roads
have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
SCHEDULE
Location
1) Wellingley Lane, Tickhill from its junction with Wadworth Road for a distance of
1830 meters.
2) Stancil Lane, Tickhill in its entirety.
Dates and Times
On or after 07:00hrs 7th July 2025 until 19:00hrs 17th August 2025.
The roads will be closed on up to 5 separate occasions, with each occasion lasting
no longer than 5 consecutive days. The works may occur on a weekend. This
process is weather dependant and as such exact dates for each location cannot be
given.
Diversion Routes
1) Wadworth Road, Wellingley Lane.
2) No alternative route.
