(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 154) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for bridge inspection on behalf of Network Rail to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: England Lane, Knottingley, for 20 metres either side of the railway line. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of England Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: England Lane, Spawd Bone Lane, Womersley Road, Weeland Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 28th June 2025 at 23.15 hours to 29th June 2025 at 09.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(TUN LANE, SOUTH HIENDLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 156) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for tree trimming/felling on behalf of Northern Powergrid to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Tun Lane, South Hiendley. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Tun Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: George Street & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 1st July 2025 at 09.30 hours to 16.30 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for tree trimming/felling on behalf of Northern Powergrid to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: High Well Hill Lane, South Hiendley. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of High Well Hill Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: George Street, Kirkgate Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 30th June 2025 at 09.30 hours to 16.30 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 158) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to excavate and locate cable, joint new cable and reinstate excavations to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Nunns View, Featherstone for approximately 50 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Nunns View.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for structure surveys to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Cutsyke Road, Castleford for approximately 189 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Cutsyke Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Cutsyke Road, Bruce Smeaton Way, Leeds Road, Leeds Barnsdale Road, Willowbridge Lane, Whitwood Common Lane, Normanton Interchange, Pontefract Road, Loscoe Lane, Normanton Bypass, Castleford Lane, Cutsyke Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 30th June 2025 at 20.00 hours to 1st July 2025 at 06.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

(DONCASTER ROAD, KNOTTINGLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 161) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for bridge inspection on behalf of Network Rail to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Doncaster Road,
Knottingley. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Doncaster Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Access to be maintained.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 1st July 2025 at 23.00 hours to 2nd July 2025 at 06.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(STEAMBOAT WAY, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 175) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to carry out remedial works and rectify the settlement of the carriageway to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Steamboat Way, Castleford. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Steamboat Way.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Access to businesses will be maintained at the western end of Steamboat Way. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 14th July 2025 to 17th August 2025 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for the Streets for People scheme to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Horsefair, Pontefract from the bus station to Finkle Street. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Horsefair.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: From South Baileygate to access Skinner Lane – Southgate, Jubilee Way, Front Street, Stuart Road, Headlands Lane, Skinner Lane.
From Southgate to access Skinner Lane – South Baileygate, North Baileygate, Northgate, Skinner Lane.
From Northgate to access Stuart Road – Skinner Lane, Headlands Lane, Stuart Road.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for the Streets for People scheme to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Bridge Street, Pontefract from Horsefair to approximately 5 metres past the current bollards. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Bridge Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Horsefair, Broad Lane, Southgate, Baxtergate.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 16th July 2025 to 29th August 2025, between 07.00 hours to 17.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(DARKFIELD LANE, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 186) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to carry out carriageway resurfacing to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Darkfield Lane, Pontefract between Pontefract Road and Ashdene Grove. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Darkfield Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Darkfield Lane, Ashdene Grove, Askam Avenue, Pontefract Road, Darkfield Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 14th July 2025 at 07.30 hours to 15.30 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(CASTLEFORD 47 FOOTPATH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER (NO 188) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield by reason of works to allow for footpath resurfacing works to be carried out on or near Castleford Footpath 47, between Hunt Street and Pauline Terrace, and the likelihood of danger arising to the public, intend not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of public footpath.
Alternative route for pedestrians: Pauline Terrace, High Street, Albion Street, Wood Street, Methley Road, Hunt Street & vice versa.
The order comes into operation on 14th July 2025 at 07.30 hours to 22nd August 2025 at 15.30 hours.
