What is happening?

THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF CALDERDALE

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025 (MIALL STREET, HALIFAX)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Chevron Traffic Management have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Miall Street from Battinson Road to Rushton Street for a distance of approximately 20 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Miall Street, Queens Road, Rushton Street. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 2nd July 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 2nd July 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:30 & 15:30.

(LANE HEAD ROAD/SOYLAND TOWN ROAD, RIPPONDEN)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Chevron Traffic Management have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Lane Head Road/Soyland Town Road from Hob Lane to Stony Lane for a distance of approximately 640 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Royd Lane, Cross Wells Road, Blackshaw Clough Road, Clay Pits Lane, Alma Lane, Lumb Lane, Mill Bank Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 30th June 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 2nd July 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 08:30 & 17:00.

(OXFORD ROAD, HALIFAX)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Northern Gas Networks intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Oxford Road from No.3 to junction with Skircoat Road for a distance of approximately 30 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Oxford Road, Savile Road, Savile Park Road, Free School Lane, Heath Road, Skircoat Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 14th July 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 15th August 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(WARD’S END, HALIFAX)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Galliford Try Infrastructure intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Ward’s End from A629 Commercial Street to junction with New Road/Horton Street for a distance of approximately 75 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Portland Place, Skircoat Road, Shaw Hill, South Parade, New Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 14th July 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 19th July 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 19:30 & 06:00.

(BRIDGE STREET, SOWERBY BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Ward and Burke Construction Ltd intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Bridge Street from Back West Street to junction with West Street for a distance of approximately 17 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via Victoria Road, Water Street. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 15th July 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 15th July 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 19:00 & 00:00.

(IVY STREET SOUTH, HALIFAX)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Ivy Street South from No. 22 to No. 25 for a distance of approximately 3 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. No alternative route available. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 16th July 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 22nd July 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(SPARK HOUSE LANE, SOWERBY BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Total Resources intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Spark House Lane from No. 65 to junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 96.7metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Fall Lane, Holmes Road, Norland Road, Sowerby Croft Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 16th July 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 16th 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:30 & 16:30.

(SWAN LANE, OUTLANE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Rapid Response Telecoms Ltd intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Swan Lane from side of Old Lea Farm to junction with Mulehouse Lane for a distance of approximately 30 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Old Lindley Road, Lindley Moor Road, New Hey Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 17th July 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 18th July 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
