What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than  7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

VARIOUS ROADS, MELTON DISTRICT 

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING & LOADING AT ANY TIME ORDER 2025

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 23/07/2025 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 3 months to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway surface repair works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

Wycomb Ln, Scalford between the access into Wycomb Fields Farm & Main Rd Wycomb.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING & LOADING AT ANY TIME

Main St, Hoby between house No. 34 & the Church Ln Jct; Main St Sewstern between houses  Nos. 16 & 37; Church Lane, Twyford between the Jcts of Hollands Ln & Main St – on both sides of the road.

ST BARTHOLOMEW’S WAY, MELTON MOWBRAY

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 25/07/2025 and have a maximum duration of 

1 month. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to  3 days to allow Truman Contractors East Midlands Ltd to undertake Section 184 resurfacing works in the carriageway. The proposed diversion route will be via: St Bartholomew’s Wy, Melton Mowbray; Welby Rd Asfordby; Welby Ln, Brook Cres, Asfordby Valley; Melton Rd A6006, Welby Rd Asfordby; Welby Ln, Melton Mowbray & vice versa.

SCHEDULE 1

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC

Closed from grid ref 472927, 320845 due East to grid ref 473109, 320816.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

WICKLOW AVENUE, MELTON MOWBRAY

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

The Order will come into force on 03/07/2025 and have a maximum duration of 1 week. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 4 days to allow Severn Trent Water to carry out service apparatus repair & maintenance works in the highway. The proposed diversion routes will be via: Wicklow Ave, Burton Rd A606, Baldock’s Ln, Hunter’s Rd & vice versa.

SOUTH STREET, SCALFORD

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

The Order will come into force on 03/07/2025 and have a maximum duration of 1 week. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 5 days to allow Severn Trent Water to carry out a service connection in the highway. The proposed diversion routes will be via: South St, New St, Church St & vice versa.

The Order will come into force on 30/06/2025 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 2 months to allow Leicestershire County Council to carry out highway drainage repairs. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

SCHEDULE 1

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC

Wood Ln, Barkestone Le Vale, from the Long Ln Jct up to grid ref 479071, 333472. Owston Rd, Knossington from the Main St Jct due Southwest to the access to Manor House. The Drift, Sewstern for its entire length.

SCHEDULE 2

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING & LOADING AT ANY TIME

Church St, Scalford on both sides of the road between the boundaries of houses Nos. 11 & 21.

WATER LANE, FRISBY ON THE WREAKE

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

The Order will come into force on 30/06/2025 and have a maximum duration of 2 weeks. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 8 days to allow Network Rail to carry out drainage renewal works at the level crossing. The proposed diversion routes will be via: Washstones Ln, Hoby Rd, Loughborough Rd, Station Ln, Leicester Rd A607,  Great Ln, Main St, Water Ln & vice versa.

SCHEDULE 1

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC

Closed for 15m approx. either side of the level crossing.

GADDEBSY LANE, FRISBY ON THE WREAKE

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

The Order will come into force on 30/06/2025 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 1 month to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake culvert replacement works. The proposed diversion routes will be via: Gaddesby Ln, Leicester Rd A607, Frisby On The Wreake; Gaddesby Ln Kirby Bellars & vice versa.

SCHEDULE 1

Closed from the access into White Lodge Farm due South to the access into Elms Cottages.

STAPLEFORD ROAD, STAPLEFORD & FREEBY

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

The Order will come into force on 30/06/2025 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 5 days to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway surface repair works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Stapleford Rd, Holygate Rd Freeby; Glebe Rd, Melton Rd Wymondham; Wymondham Rd, Freeby, B676 & vice versa.
