What is happening?
THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.
VARIOUS ROADS, MELTON DISTRICT
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING & LOADING AT ANY TIME ORDER 2025
It is expected that the Order will come into force on 23/07/2025 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 3 months to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway surface repair works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 3 days to allow Truman Contractors East Midlands Ltd to undertake Section 184 resurfacing works in the carriageway. The proposed diversion route will be via: St Bartholomew’s Wy, Melton Mowbray; Welby Rd Asfordby; Welby Ln, Brook Cres, Asfordby Valley; Melton Rd A6006, Welby Rd Asfordby; Welby Ln, Melton Mowbray & vice versa.

The Order will come into force on 03/07/2025 and have a maximum duration of 1 week. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 4 days to allow Severn Trent Water to carry out service apparatus repair & maintenance works in the highway. The proposed diversion routes will be via: Wicklow Ave, Burton Rd A606, Baldock’s Ln, Hunter’s Rd & vice versa.

The Order will come into force on 30/06/2025 and have a maximum duration of 2 weeks. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 8 days to allow Network Rail to carry out drainage renewal works at the level crossing. The proposed diversion routes will be via: Washstones Ln, Hoby Rd, Loughborough Rd, Station Ln, Leicester Rd A607, Great Ln, Main St, Water Ln & vice versa.

The proposed diversion routes will be via: Gaddesby Ln, Leicester Rd A607, Frisby On The Wreake; Gaddesby Ln Kirby Bellars & vice versa.
