Temporary Restriction to Speed of Road to 10mph Order No. 1 2025

South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order: -

This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council, Glasgow Road, Nerston Village East Kilbride, Temporary Speed Restriction to Speed of Road to 10mph Order No. 1 2025” and shall come into operation between Monday 21 July and Friday 8 August 2025. The speed restriction will be applied on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. 

Whilst this order remains in force vehicles will be restricted to drive at 10mph on the sections of road specified in Schedule 1 by reason of Scottish Water repairing their apparatus. 

Schedule 1 – Temporary Restriction to Speed of Road to 10mph, Glasgow Road, Nerston Village, East Kilbride. Section between Crookedshields Road and East Nerston Grove.
