(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (C16 Lindean)
(Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 2 July 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 4 July 2025, as detailed below. The Order is required for screed works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C16 at Lindean on the dates and at the times specified below:
(a) Closure 1: on 2 July 2025 for a period of two days between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 each day.
T he alternative route for south eastbound traffic is via the A7, Raeburn Place, Shawburn Road, Raeburn Lane, Bleachfield Road, Shawpark Road, C17 and C16 to the point of closure, for north westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing; and
(b) Closure 2: on 4 July 2025 for a period of one day between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00.
The alternative route for south eastbound traffic is via the C16, A7, A699 and C16 to point of closure, for north westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
