Old Parish Road From Angel Inn And Cwar Nyth Bran - Temporary Road Closure For Highway Works
What is happening?

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICEis hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council intend in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding along the lengths of roads set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the roads are closed.
The Order is necessary to enable National Grid to carry out civil engineering works in the roads and for the highway authority to carry out any ancillary highway works in the roads.
The Order will come into force on the 14th July 2025 and shall continue in force for a maximum duration of 18 months, or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner. It is anticipated that the works will take 3 days to complete.
SCHEDULE
Cwar Nyth Bran & the Old Parish Road from Angel Inn will be closed from the junction with High Street in a northerly direction for a distance of 370m along its length.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the unaffected section of Old Parish Road from Angel Inn, A4109 Inter Valley Road, Heol Y Glyn, High Street, Pontneathvaughan Road and High Street.
Access for pedestrian and emergency vehicles will be maintained.
