What is happening?

THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL

LOWGATE (PART) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Lowgate, immediately outside of the Guildhall main doors, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during works to remove faulty parts of the Guildhall Time Ball.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

The Order will take effect on 13th July 2025, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 8am on 13th July 2025 until 4pm on 14th July 2025.
