Bankfield Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving For Works To Clear Blocked Ducts In A Carriageway To Take Place
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT
(BANKFIELD ROAD, WOODLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) NOTICE 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which introduced a Temporary Prohibition of Driving at Bankfield Road, Woodley between junctions of Hyde Road and Woodlands Drive, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said road. This Order is necessary to allow for works to clear blocked ducts in a carriageway to take place. It is estimated these works will last 3 days. A diversion will be provided via Hyde Road, Manor Road, Manor View, Bankfield Road, and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on the 21 July 2025 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
