What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(HIGHFIELD LANE, FANGFOSS) (20 MPH
SPEED LIMIT, 40 MPH SPEED LIMIT,
50 MPH SPEED LIMIT AND REVOCATIONS)
ORDER 2025

1. On 25 June 2025 East Riding of Yorkshire Council
made this Order which will be operative from
25 June 2025 the effect of which will be to:
(a) prohibit vehicles from proceeding at a speed
exceeding 20mph on the following length of road:
Road Length of Road
Highfield Lane From a point 68 metres north
and Pocklington west of the northern kerb line
Road, Fangfoss of Highfield Close in a south
easterly direction, to a point
271 metres south of the centreline
of Main Street, a distance of
approximately 492 metres.
(b) prohibit vehicles from proceeding at a speed
exceeding 40mph on the following length of road:
Road Length of Road
Highfield Lane, From a point 68 metres north
Fangfoss west of the northern kerb line of
Highfield Close in a north westerly
direction to a point 416 metres
north west of the northern kerb
line of Highfield Close, a distance
of 348 metres.
(c) prohibit vehicles from proceeding at a speed
exceeding 50 mph on the following length of road:
Road Length of Road
Highfield Lane, From a point 484 metres north
Fangfoss and west of the northern kerb line of
Hatkill Lane, Highfield Close in a generally
Full Sutton northerly direction to a point
294 metres east of the centreline
of Halifax Close, a distance of
approximately 2315 metres.
2. A copy of the Order and relevant plan may be
examined during normal office hours at Pocklington
Customer Service Centre, 23 Railway Street,
Pocklington, YO42 2QU.
3. If you wish to question the validity of this Order or
of any provision contained in it on the grounds that
it is not within the powers conferred by the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that
any requirement of that Act or any instrument made
under it has not been complied with in relation to the
Order, you may, within six weeks from 18 June 2025
apply to the High Court for this purpose.
