DFI Belfast, Statutory Rule entitled “The Loading Bays on Roads

What is happening?

LOADING BAY – BELFAST

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has made a Statutory
Rule entitled “The Loading Bays on Roads (Amendment No.
3) Order (Northern Ireland) 2025” (S.R. 2025 No. 108) which
comes into operation on 4 July 2025.
The Rule will introduce a loading bay for the use of all
vehicles loading and unloading certain goods on a length of
Nelson Street, Belfast to operate at any time on all days.
Vehicles are excepted from the prohibitions in certain
circumstances.
A copy of the Rule may be viewed at DfI offices during office
hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) by appointment
only. Appointments can be arranged either by email to

or by telephone on
0300 200 7899. The Rule may also be viewed online at:

www.infrastructure-ni.gov.uk/publications
