What is happening?
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(OWEN ROAD/RAYLEIGH ROAD/LIME STREET
JUNCTION) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road:
· Owen Road closed in both directions between its junction with Merridale Street West and its junction with Lime Street/Rayleigh Road. Vehicular Diversion
Route: Lea Road, Jeffcock Road, Merridale Road, Aspen Way and vice versa.
· Rayleigh Road closed in both directions at its junction with Owen Road/Lime Street. Vehicular Diversion Route: Jeffcock Road, Lea Road and vice versa.
· Lime Street closed in both directions at its junction with Owen Road/Rayleigh Road. Vehicular Diversion Route: Manlove Road, Owen Road, Aston Street,
Norfolk Road and vice versa.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 26 June 2025 until 28 June 2025.
The Order is required to facilitate remedial reinstatement works by Cadent.
