What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH TRING RURAL 44 & 45

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath

Tring Rural 44 & 45, heading north and west from junction with Tring Rural 46 then south toward county boundary, for an approximate distance of 1500m.

Alternative route: via Tring Rural 43 and across field path The purpose of the Order is to enable maintenance works to  take place.

The section of Footpath will be closed on or after 01 July 2025 for up to 6 months, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A4251 HEMPSTEAD ROAD,  KINGS LANGLEY) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A4251 Hempstead Road, Kings Langley from its junction with Rucklers Lane northwards to its junction with Nash Mills Lane,  a distance of approximately 60m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via A4251 (Hempstead Road/High Street/Watford Road), A41 (unnamed road/Two Waters Intersection/ Two Waters Way) and A4251 London Road.

The Order is needed because bridge inspection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A4251 LONDON ROAD AND BEDMOND ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:1. that length of A4251 London Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the A4146 Station Road roundabout north westwards and south westwards to its junction with the Fishery Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 467m.

An alternative route will be via A4251 London Road, A41 (Two Waters Way/unnamed road) and A4251 London Road.

2. that length of Bedmond Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Chambersbury Lane south eastwards to its junction with Bunkers Lane, a distance of approximately 684m. An alternative route will be via Bedmond Road, A4147 (Leverstock

Green Road/ Leverstock Green Way/St Albans Road), A414

(Two Waters Road/Two Waters Way), A4251 (London Road/

Hempstead Road/High Street), Church Lane, Water Lane, Primrose Hill, Toms Lane, High Street, Church Hill and Bedmond Road. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified  shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near  the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LONG CHAULDEN,  HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Long Chaulden, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Middle Hill north eastwards to its junction with southernmost junction with Paddock Way, a distance of approximately 217m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via Long Chaulden, Northridge Way and Long Chaulden.

The Order is needed because the construction of new traffic islands is proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING

RESTRICTIONS IN HILLTOP ROAD AND CHESHAM ROAD,

BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1.  that length of Hilltop Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Chesham Road south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Beech Drive,  a distance of approximately 646m.

An alternative route will be via Hilltop Road, Chesham Road, A416 (Kingshill Way/Kings Road), A4251 High Street, Three Close Lane and Beech Drive.

2.  that length of Chesham Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Acacia Grove north eastwards to its junction with Hilltop Road, a distance of approximately 42m.

An alternative route will be via Chesham Road, A416 (Kingshill Way/ Kings Road), A4251 High Street, Three Close Lane and Beech Drive or via Chesham Road, A416 (Kingshill Way/Kings Road), A4251 High Street and Chesham Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 30 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on  or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CASTLE HILL, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Castle Hill, Berkhamsted from a point 113m south west of its junction with Murray Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Castle Hill, Murray Road, Bridgewater Road, Brownlow Road and Castle Hill. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 30 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on  or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF KILNCROFT AND PEASCROFT ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):-

1.  that length of Kilncroft, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Peascroft Road north eastwards to its junction with Longfield, a distance of approximately 32m.

An alternative route will be via Peascroft Road, St Michaels Avenue, Crofts Path and Kilncroft.

2.  that length of Peascroft Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Kilncroft south westwards to its junction with St Michaels Road, a distance of approximately 162m. An alternative route will be via Northend, Chambersbury Lane, Market Oak Lane, Hill Common, Barnacres, Rumballs Road and Peascroft Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HOLLYBUSH LANE, FLAMSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length  of Hollybush Lane, Flamstead from its junction with A5183 London Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 170m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A5183 London Road, Chequers Hill, Singlets Lane, High Street, Chapel Road and Hollybush Lane. The Order is needed because utility works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 30 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on  or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF TROWLEY HILL ROAD, FLAMSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of

Trowley Hill Road, Flamstead from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.124 Trowley Hill Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 12m(“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Trowley Hill Road, White Hill, Trowley Bottom and Trowley Hill Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 2 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF AVIA CLOSE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Avia Close, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A4251 London Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 22m (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 2 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF DENNYS LANE, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Dennys Lane, Berkhamsted from its junction with Shootersway south westwards for a distance of approximately 240m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Shootersway, A416 (Kingshill Way/ Chesham Road), Hog Lane, Johns Lane and Dennys Lane. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 26 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on  or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF COW LANE, TRING DURING ‘CHILFEST’) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cow Lane, Tring from its junction with A4251 Tring Road north westwards to its junction with Station Road, a distance of approximately 958m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via A4251 Tring Road, A41 Tring Interchange, B4635 London Road and Station Road. The Order is needed to ensure public safety and prevent accidents during ‘Chilfest’.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 July 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
