What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
Beechy Lees Road & Park Hill Road, Otford, TN14 5QH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of drainage cleansing works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beechy Lees Road and Park Hill Road, Otford, on or after 4th July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
Beechy Lees Road will be closed between 8 and 55 Park Hill Road.
Park Hill Road will be closed outside number 57.
The alternative route is via Park Hill Road, Pilgrims Way, Beechy Lees Road and vice versa.
Beesfield Lane, Farningham, DA4 0BY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow the installation of a new gas supply, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beesfield Lane, Farningham, on or after 30th June 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 18.
The alternative route is via Beesfield Lane, Maplescombe Lane, Botsom Lane, A20 London Road/Gorse Hill/London Road, A225 Eynsford Road and vice versa.
Chart Lane, Brasted, TN16 1LP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of drainage repairs, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chart Lane, Brasted, on or after 3rd July 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Little Cacketts.
The alternative route is via Chart Lane, Toys Hill, B2042 Green Lane/Ide Hill Road/Wheatsheaf Hill/Cold Arbor Road, A25 Westerham Road/Main Road/High Street and vice versa.
Chart Lane, Brasted, TN16 1LR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Thames Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chart Lane, Brasted, on or after 17th July 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Toys Hill WBS.
The alternative route is via Chart Lane, Toys Hill, B2042 Green Lane/Ide Hill Road/Wheatsheaf Hill/Cold Arbor Road, A25 Westerham Road/Main Road/High Street and vice versa.
College Road, Hextable, BR8 7LW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach pole replacement, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of College Road, Hextable, on or after 17th July 2025 for up to 1 day between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Hartsdown.
The alternative route is via College Road, Leydenhatch Lane, Birchwood Road, B2173 Maidstone Road/Bartholomew Way, B258 Swanley Lane/Main Road and vice versa.
Hever Lane, Hever, TN8 7ET (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of drainage cleansing works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hever Lane, Hever, on or after 16th July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Buckhurst Barn and Rose Cottage.
The alternative route is via Chippens Lane, Uckfield Lane, Cowden Pound Road, B2026 Stick Hill and vice versa.
Hillingdon Avenue, Sevenoaks, TN13 3PN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hillingdon Avenue, Sevenoaks, on or after 30th June 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed near number 17.
The alternative route is via Hillingdon Avenue, A25 Seal Road, B2019 Seal Hollow Road and vice versa.
Horton Road & The Street, Horton Kirby, DA4 9BS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Horton Road and The Street, Horton Kirby, on or after 18th July 2025 for up to 1 day between 09:30hrs and 14:30hrs or until the works have been completed.
Horton Road will be closed between number 1 and The Street.
The Street will be closed between Flint Cottage and Horton Road.
The alternative route is via Horton Road, Station Road, A225 Dartford Road, A20 London Road, Eglantine Lane, Lombard Street and vice versa.
Ivy House Lane, Otford, TN14 5JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of detailed examination of rail over road bridge, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ivy House Lane, Otford, on or after 2nd July 2025 for up to 1 night between 22.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the railway bridge.
The alternative route is via London Road, Pilgrims Way West and vice versa.
Pound Lane, Knockholt, TN14 7NH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Thames Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pound Lane, Knockholt, on or after 30th June 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Blueberry Lane.
The alternative route is via Blueberry Lane, Main Road, Pound Lane and vice versa.
Ridge Way, Edenbridge. TN8 6AU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of a new water connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ridge Way, Edenbridge, on or after 14th July 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside No.4.
The alternative route is via Ridge Way, Pit Lane, Swan Lane, Swan Ridge and vice versa.
Station Road, Shoreham, TN14 7RT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of an inspection of the bridge structure, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Station Road, Shoreham, on or after 1st July 2025 for up to 1 night between 22.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the railway bridge.
The alternative route is via A225 Shoreham Road/Station Road/Sevenoaks Road, High Street, Pilgrims Way West, Filston Lane, Church Street and vice versa.
Station Road, South Darenth, DA4 9EW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of drainage cleansing works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Station Road, South Darenth, on or after 4th July 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed for the entire length.
The alternative route is via Horton Road, Holmesdale Road, Devon Road, Cedar Drive, A225 Main Road, Station Road and vice versa.
