What is happening?

A249 Sittingbourne Road (Southbound), Stockbury (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A249 Sittingbourne Road (Southbound), Stockbury, on or after 3rd July 2025 for up to 23 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from A249 Stockbury Roundabout to outside Gorse Tor Farm, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Broomfield Road, Broomfield, ME17 1PJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow for a new water connection to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Broomfield Road, Broomfield, on or after 2nd July 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside the entrance to Knights Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Broomfield Road, A20 Ashford Road, Chegworth Road, Lenham Road, Gravelly Bottom Road, Broomfield Road, Upper Street, Lower Street, Broomfield Road and vice versa.

 

Brunswick Street East, Maidstone, ME15 7UW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brunswick Street East, Maidstone, on or after 16th July 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Kingsley Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Brunswick Street East, Melville Road, Kingsley Road and vice versa.

 

Coldharbour Road, Otterden, ME17 2EA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow tree felling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Coldharbour Road, Otterden, on or after 30th June 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Haven. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Coldharbour Road, Bunce Court Road, Warren Street, Waterditch Lane and vice versa.

 

Cross Keys, Bearsted, ME14 4HT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new electricity service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cross Keys, Bearsted, on or after 14th July 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 50. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cross Keys and vice versa.

 

Farleigh Bridge, East Farleigh, ME16 9NB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow level crossing maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Farleigh Bridge, East Farleigh, on or after 20th July 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the level crossing, between the hours of 01:00 on 20th July 2025 to 04:00 on 21st July 2025 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Station Hill, B2010 Lower Road, B2010 Dean Street, B2010 Farleigh Hill, B2010 Tovil Hill, B2010 Tovil Road, B2010 College Road, A229 College Road, A229 Mill Street, A229 Bishops Way, A229 The Broadway, A20 Tonbridge Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, Farleigh Lane.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Farleigh Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road, A20 Terrace Road, A20 London Road, A20 The Broadway, A229 The Broadway, A229 St Peters Bridge, A229 Fairmeadow, A229 Bishops Way, A229 Palace Avenue, A229 Lower Stone Street, A229 Upper Stone Street, A229 Sheals Crescent, A229 Hayle Road, A229 College Road, B2010 College Road, B2010 Tovil Road, B2010 Tovil Hill, B2010 Farleigh Hill, B2010 Dean Street, B2010 Lower Road, Station Hill.

 

Gleaming Wood Drive, Lordswood, ME5 8XQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gleaming Wood Drive, Lordswood, on or after 30th June 2025 for up to 96 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from property number 37 to the junction with Birch Drive. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic except between the dates of 15th August 2025 and 18th August 2025 is via Gleaming Wood Drive, Clandon Road, Albemarle Road, Dargets Roundabout, Lordswood Lane, Badger Road, Gleaming Wood Drive and vice versa.

The alternative route for any through traffic between the dates of 15th August 2025 and 18th August 2025 only is via Gleaming Wood Drive, Clandon Road, Albemarle Road, Dargets Roundabout, Dargets Road, Princes Avenue, Walderslade Roundabout, Walderslade Road, Walderslade Village By-pass, Robin Hood Lane, Fostington Way, Walderslade Woods, Lordswood Lane, Gleaming Wood Drive and vice versa.

 

Greenway Court Road, Hollingbourne, ME17 1QQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Greenway Court Road, Hollingbourne, on or after 14th July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Oak Meadow Farm, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Greenway Court Road, Eyhorne Street, A20 Ashford Road, Hospital Road, Greenway Court Road and vice versa.

 

Marsham Street, Maidstone, ME14 9SF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow a new electric connection to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Marsham Street, Maidstone, on or after 1st July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Hengist Court. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any eastbound through traffic is via Marsham Street, Church Street, King Street, Queen Anne Road.

The alternative route for any westbound through traffic is via Marsham Street, Queen Anne Road, Union Street, Wyatt Street.

 

Mote Avenue, Willow Way, Upper Road & Lower Road, Maidstone (NO PARKING RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow the Race for Life event to be held, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily restrict parking on parts of Mote Avenue, Willow Way, Upper Road & Lower Road, Maidstone, on or after 5th July 2025 for up to 2 days or until the event has been completed.

Mote Avenue, Willow Way & Upper Road will have a parking restriction in place from outside property number 1 Mote Avenue to outside property number 6 Upper Road, between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 on Saturday and 09:00 and 14:00 on Sunday. To the extent indicated by signs on site.

Lower Road will have a parking restriction in place from the junction with Willow Way to outside property number 16, between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 on Saturday and 09:00 and 14:00 on Sunday. To the extent indicated by signs on site.

 

Old Ashford Road, Lenham (TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow for a new electric connection to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily restrict through traffic on part of Old Ashford Road, Lenham, on or after 3rd July 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

Old Ashford Road will be restricted to 30mph from property name Montagu to property name Polhill. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

 

Pilgrims Way, Hollingbourne, ME17 1UP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pole testing and tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Hollingbourne, on or after 17th July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Granary, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Upper Street, Eyhorne Street, A20 Ashford Road, Roundwell, Water Lane, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.

 

Redwall Lane, Linton, ME15 0RL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow for frame and cover works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Redwall Lane, Linton, on or after 30th June 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Burford Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Redwall Lane, A229 Linton Hill, B2163 Heath Road, Upper Hunton Hill, Hunton Hill, East Street, Redwall Lane and vice versa.

 

Stede Hill, Harrietsham, ME17 1NR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow for cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stede Hill, Harrietsham, on or after 4th July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from near Pilgrims Lodge to near the junction with Pilgrims Way between 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stede Hill, Ringlestone Road, Hollingbourne Hill, Upper Street, Eyhorne Street, A20 Ashford Road, Church Road, Stede Hill and vice versa.

 

The Street, Bearsted, ME14 4HT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drainage cleansing work to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Bearsted, on or after 2nd July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from The Oak on the Green Public House to the Womens Institute Hall. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Green, Yeoman Lane, A20 Ashford Road, Roundwell, The Street and vice versa.

 

Water Lane, Headcorn (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Water Lane, Headcorn, on or after 14th July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Stephens Bridge, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Moat Road, Summerhill, Four Oaks Road, Plumtree Road, Four Oaks Road, Hawkenbury Road, Headcorn Road, A229 High Street, Frittenden Road, Staplehurst Road, Headcorn Road, Water Lane and vice versa.

MAIDSTONE AREA

Willow Lane, Paddock Wood (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow bridge inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Willow Lane, Paddock Wood, on or after 20th July 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Willow Lane, Queen Street, Mile Oak Road, Pearsons Green Road, Willow Lane and vice versa.
