(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
On 24 June 2025 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works, and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so) on Newdyke Road, Kirkintilloch between its junction with Hillhead Road and Langmuir Road, Kirkintilloch and its junction with Eildon Road, Kirkintilloch by reason of works being executed on or near this road.
This Order will operate from 06.00 hours on Sunday, 06 July 2025 until 18.00 hours on Sunday, 13 July 2025.
Alternative Routes
The alternative routes will be by way of Newdyke
Road, Redbrae Road, the B8048 Waterside Road,
Merkland Drive, Langmuir Road, and Hillhead Road, Kirkintilloch, and these routes will be sign posted.
Internal diversion routes will also be sign posted.
