TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH HITCHIN 91
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Hitchin 91, heading south from Purwell Lane, for an approximate distance of 100m.
Alternative Route: via Purwell Lane, Chaucer Way and Hitchin 80.
The purpose of the Order is to enable maintenance works to take place.
The section of Footpath Hitchin 91 will be closed on or after 07 July 2025 for up to 4 days, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HIGH STREET, HINXWORTH)
ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Street, Hinxworth from its junction with Homefield south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via High Street, Edworth (unnamed road), Edworth Road, A1 (unnamed road/London Road), A507 Great North Road, Newnham Road, Ashwell Road, Hinxworth Road, Ashwell Road and High Street.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 9 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hitchin Road, Pirton from its junction with Walnut Tree Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Hitchin Road, Priors Hill, Shillington Road, West Lane, Holwell Road, Waterloo Lane, Pirton Road, Holwell Road, A600 Bedford Road, A505 (Bedford Road/Paynes Park/Upper Tilehouse Street), B655 Pirton Road and Hitchin Road or via Hitchin Road, B655 Pirton Road, A505 (Upper Tilehouse Street/Old Park Road/Bedford Road), A600 Bedford Road, Holwell Road, Pirton Road, Waterloo Lane, Holwell Road, West Lane, Shillington Road, Priors Hill and Hitchin Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hillshott, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Rushby Mead south westwards for a distance of approximately 40m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Hillshott, Ridge Avenue, Pimore Way, Norton Way South and Hillshott.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HIGH STREET AND MARKET PLACE, HITCHIN) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):–

that length of High Street, Hitchin from its junction with Bancroft south westwards to its junction with Market Place, a distance of approximately 130m.
An alternative route will be via Bancroft, Brand Street, A505 Paynes Park, A602 Park Way, B656 (Hitchin Hill/Park Street), Bridge Street, Tilehouse Street and Bucklersbury.

An alternative route will be via High Street, Bancroft, Brand Street, A505 Paynes Park, A602 Park Way, B656 (Hitchin Hill/Park Street), Bridge Street, Tilehouse Street and Bucklersbury.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 9 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Graveley Lane, Graveley from its junction with B197 High Street north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Priory Lane, a distance of approximately 1419m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via B197 (High Street/Graveley Road), Stevenage Road and Priory Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ARENA PARADE, LETCHWORTH GARDEN CITY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Arena Parade, Letchworth Garden City from a point 63m north east of its junction with Eastcheap north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Broadway, a distance of approximately 25m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Arena Parade, Eastcheap, Leys Avenue, Station Place and Broadway
or via Broadway, Gernon Road, Eastcheap and Arena Parade.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas main is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF NOS. 581–593 LONSDALE ROAD, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on the south side of Nos. 581–593 Lonsdale Road, Stevenage from its junction with Lonsdale Road westwards, northwards, westwards, northwards and westwards for a distance of approximately 88m (“the Footpath”).
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the west side of Lonsdale Road, the cycle track/footpath situated on the south side of Nos. 633–649 Lonsdale Road, the footpath situated on the west side of Nos. 599–619 Lonsdale Road and the footpath situated on the south side of Nos. 597–601 Lonsdale Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 June 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Little Almshoe Lane, St Ippolyts from a point 205m north east of its junction with B656 London Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 60m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Little Almshoe Lane, B656 London Road, Sperberry Hill and Little Almshoe Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 24 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
