What is happening?

Manchester City Council

Notice is hereby given that Manchester City Council has made the City of Manchester (Booth Street West, Hulme) (Prohibition of Waiting, Prohibition of Loading / Unloading, Limited Waiting Parking Place and Amendment) Order 2025, the effect of which is to introduce the following:

1. No Loading at Any Time (in addition to the existing Prohibition of Waiting): Booth Street West (i) south-east side, from 57m north-east of Higher Cambridge Street for 10m in a north-easterly direction (ii) south-east side, from Higher Cambridge Street for 22m in a north-easterly direction.

2. Limited Waiting Parking Place, Waiting Limited to 20 minutes, No Return within 1 hour, All Times on All Days on: Booth Street West, south-east side, from 22m north-east of Higher Cambridge Street for 35m in a north-easterly direction (width 2.2 metres).

An existing Order has been amended to be consistent with the above. The Order was made on 17 June 2025 and will come into operation on 27 June 2025. A copy of the made Order and the plan may be inspected at Customer Service Centre, Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm on Monday to Friday inclusive.

Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks from 17 June 2025 apply to the High Court for such purpose.
