THE A1(M) MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 51)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A1(M) Motorway, in the County of North Yorkshire, to enable lighting upgrade works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start on 14 July 2025 for 2 nights, or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 6am.
The effect of the Order will be to close the A1(M) southbound and northbound exit and entry slip roads at Junction 51 (Leeming Bar); during which times suitably signed alternative routes will be available.
Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 13 July 2025 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.

THE A1(M) MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 52)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A1(M) Motorway, in the Borough of North Yorkshire, to enable drainage, electrical and horticulture works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start on Wednesday 16 July 2025 for 2 nights, or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 6am.
The effect of the Order will be to close the A1(M) northbound and southbound exit and entry slip roads at Junction 52, during which times suitable signed alternative routes will be available.
Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter service maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The order comes into force on 15 July 2025 and has a maximum duration of 18 months.

The works are expected to start on 18 July 2025 for 1 night, or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 6am.
The effect of the Order will be to close the A1(M) northbound entry slip road at Junction 53 (Scotch Corner); during which times suitably signed alternative routes will be available.
Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibition (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 13 July 2025 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.

THE A1(M) MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 51 TO JUNCTION 50)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the A1(M) Motorway, in the County of North Yorkshire, to enable technology and loop cutting works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start on Monday 23 June 2025 for 1 night, or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 6am.
The effect of the Order will be to close, at times during the works, the A1(M):
(i) southbound carriageway from the exit slip road at Junction 51 to the entry slip road at Junction 50, a distance of 17260 metres; and
(ii) southbound entry slip roads at Junction 50.
During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times.
Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 22 June 2025 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.

THE A1(M) MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 60 TO JUNCTION 64)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION AND PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the A1(M) Motorway, in County Durham, to enable hard shoulder resurfacing and mainline patching works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start at 8pm on Monday 23 June 2025 for 8 weeks or until completed.
The effect of the Order will be, for 24 hours a day, at times during the works, to impose a temporary 50mph and 60mph speed restriction on the A1(M):
(i) northbound carriageway from 1600 metres south of the exit slip road at Junction 60 (Bradbury) to the entry slip road at Junction 63 (Blind Lane), a distance of 28,912 metres;
(ii) southbound carriageway from 715 metres north of the exit slip road at Junction 64 (Washington) to the entry slip road at Junction 60, a distance of 29,789 metres;
(iii) northbound and southbound exit and entry slip roads at Junction 60, Junction 61 (Bowburn), Junction 62 (Carrville) and Junction 63;
It will also be necessary, between 8pm and 6am, at times during the works to close the A1(M):
(i) northbound carriageway from the exit slip road at Junction 60 to the entry slip road at Junction 63, a distance of 27,036 metres;
(ii) southbound carriageway from the exit slip road at Junction 63 to the entry slip road at Junction 60, a distance of 27,036 metres;
(iii) northbound entry and southbound exit slip roads at Junction 60;
(iv) northbound and southbound exit and entry slip roads at Junction 61 and Junction 62;
(v) northbound exit and southbound entry slip roads at Junction 63; and
(vi) southbound entry slip road at Washington Services.
During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times.
Traffic management will be in force 24 hour a day and traffic signs will indicate the extent of the restrictions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or special forces vehicles) and the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance). THE A19 TRUNK ROAD (PORTRACK INTERCHANGE TO RING ROAD INTERCHANGE) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION AND PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A19 Trunk Road, in County Durham and North Yorkshire to enable painting of sign gantries and resurfacing works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start at 8pm on Sunday 13 July 2025 for 3 weeks, or until completed.
The effect of the order will be, for 24 hours a day, at times during the works, to:
(i) impose a temporary 50mph speed restriction on the A19 northbound carriageway from the entry slip road at the A1046 Portrack Interchange to the exit slip road at the A1027 180 Ring Road Interchange, a distance of 2571 metres;
(ii) impose a temporary 50mph speed restriction on the A19 northbound entry slip road at Portrack Interchange;
(iii) impose a temporary 50mph speed restriction on the A19 northbound exit slip road at the A139 Norton Interchange; and
(iv) close the layby adjacent to the A19 northbound carriageway approximately 1160 metres south of the A139 Billingham Viaduct overbridge.
It will also be necessary, between 8pm and 6am, at times during the works, to close the A19:
(i) northbound carriageway from the exit slip road at Portrack Interchange to the entry slip road at Ring Road Interchange, a distance of 3935 metres;
(ii) northbound entry slip road at Portrack Interchange;
(iii) northbound exit slip road at Norton Interchange;
(iv) northbound exit slip road at Ring Road Interchange; and
(v) link road connecting the A66 eastbound carriageway with the A19 northbound carriageway at Stockton Road Interchange.
Traffic management will be in force 24 hours a day and traffic signs will indicate the extent of the restrictions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or special forces vehicles) and prohibition (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 13 July 2025 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
