What is happening?

THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF NORTH TYNESIDE

THE FOOTPATH BETWEEN GREAT NORTH 
ROAD AND WARKWORTH DRIVE, WIDEOPEN
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on the footpath to the side of number 20 Great North Road to the side of 55 Warkworth Drive.

An alternate route is available via Great North Road, East View, Mitford Gardens, Warkworth Drive.

The proposed temporary Order is required for a sewer cleanse and CCTV survey.

The Order will come into force on 24 July 2025 for a period not exceeding 1 day.
