PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 83 (PART) AND 1R/2279 (PART)
NEWCASTLE TOWN PARISH TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council, on 16/6/25 made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along Public Footpath No. 83 Newcastle Town Parish from its junction with Public Footpath No. 1R/2279 Newcastle Town Parish for approximately 80 metres to its junction with St Edmunds Avenue and Public Footpath No. 1R/2270 Newcastle Town Parish from its junction with Public Footpath No. 83 Newcastle Town Parish for approximately 40 metres in a southerly direction.
The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) due to works taking place on the footpath. These are expected to last for two weeks.
An alternative route will be available and will be signposted on site.
A plan will be displayed on site to show length of paths to be closed.
This Order will come into operation on 16/6/25 and will remain in force for a period of six months or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. If necessary, after six months, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
