Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 23 July 2025

Ref: T25-30

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of highway drainage maintenance works and will become operative on 23 July 2025, anticipated to be of 27 working days. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule - Langford Road, Langford entire extents.

Alternative routes - Bypass, Stock Lane, Langford Road and vice-versa.

Street End Lane, Blagdon, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 28 July 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid for overhead reconductoring works. This order will become operative on the 28 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order will become operative on the 25 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to replace gas main. This order will become operative on the 28 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 36 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order will become operative on the 29 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Beaumont Close, Stanhope Road, Totterdown Road, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Temporary No Waiting or Loading Restriction Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 11 August 2025

Ref: SW25.26-031

Will be to close and restrict, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid to use a crane to replace a substation. This order will become operative on the 11 August 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be a closure of Beaumont Close for 7 hours in duration between 9am and 4pm, and the No Waiting or Loading restrictions anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs or cones will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – Road Closure 11 August 2025 Beaumont Close for full extent.

No Waiting or Loading from 9 to 11 August 2025 on Stanhope Road for its full extent, Totterdown Road for 80m between Beaumont Close and Stanhope Road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to lay new duct. This order will become operative on the 27 August 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration.
