ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The East Sussex (C20 Village Street, Ewhurst)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Village Street – from the junction with C979 Tufton Lane to the junction with U6621 Soggs Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C979 Tufton Lane – C97 Yewtree Hill, Adams Lane – B2165 Northiam Road – C19 Bodiam Road, Rock Hill – C20 Shoreham Lane, Village Street and vice versa. The Order commences 8 July 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 8 and 31 July 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C92 Pett Level Road, Fairlight)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Pett Level Road – from the junction with C635 Rosemary Lane to the junction with C92 Battery Hill.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C92 Pett Level Road, Sea Road – A259(T) Tanyard Lane, Ferry Hill, Roberts Hill, Rectory Lane, Hastings Road, Main Road, The Thorne, Rye Road, Winchelsea Road, White Hart Hill, Winchelsea Road – A259 Rye Road, Old London Road – C92 Fairlight Road, Battery Hill and vice versa.

The Order commences 8 July 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 09:00hrs to 15:30hrs on 8 and 9 July 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A2100 London Road, Battle)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

London Road – 15 metres either side of the level crossing. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A2100 London Road – A21(T) Johns Cross Road, Robertsbridge bypass, Northbridge Street roundabout, Silverhill, London Road – A265 Station Road, Haremere Hill, High Street, Straight Mile, Etchingham Road, High Street, Paygate, Heathfield Road, Burwash Road, Mutton Hall Hill, High Street, Cross In Hand Road – A267 Little London Road, High Street, Horam Road, Eastbourne Road, North Street, New North Street – A22 Boship roundabout – A271 Lower Horsebridge, Upper Horsebridge, Hawkswood Road, Amberstone, New Road, Hailsham Road, Gardner Street, Windmill Hill Road, The Strait, Boreham Hill, Kitchenham Road, Beechdown Wood, North Trade Road, Ten Sixty Six roundabout – A2100 London Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 6 July 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 6 and 7 July 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6196 Burgh Hill, Etchingham/ Hurst Green)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Trooli Ltd to carry out works, East Sussex County

Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Burgh Hill – from the junction with A265 High Street to the junction with A265 Station Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A265 Haremere Hill and vice versa.

The Order commences 23 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 23 and 27 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C703 Potmans Lane, Ninfield/Catsfield)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure

Potmans Lane – from the junction with A269 Ninfield Road to the junction with U6115 Spratts Lane. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A269 Ninfield Road – A2691 Haven Brook Avenue – C345 Watermill Lane, Church Road – C703 Potmans Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 23 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 23 and 24 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3288 Downs Road, Hastings)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Downs Road – from the junction with U3288 Downs Road to the junction with C215 Elphinstone Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3288 Downs Road – C215 Elphinstone Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 23 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 23 and 25 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Stonestile Lane – from the junction with B2093 The Ridge to the junction with C22 The Moor.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2093 The Ridge – C639 Chowns Hill, Ivyhouse Lane – C22 Three Oaks Road, The Moor and vice versa.

The Order commences 26 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 26 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Duke Terrace – from the junction with U3066 Duke Road to the junction with U3066 Duke Street. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic westbound via U3066 Duke Road, Duke Street and eastbound via U3066 Duke Street – A21 Sedlescombe Road North – U3066 Duke Road.

The Order commences 23 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 23 and 25 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Powdermill Lane – from the junction with U6953 Telham Lane to the junction with B2204 Horns Corner.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C27 Powdermill Lane – A2100 Lower Lake, Upper Lake, High Street, Ten Sixty-Six roundabout – A271 North Trade Road, Beechdown Wood – B2204 Tellis Coppice, Horns Corner and vice versa.

The Order commences 23 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 23 and 25 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure

Whatlington Road – from the junction with U6307 Oakhurst Road to the junction with A21(T) Woodmans Green Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C293 Whatlington Road, Caldbec Hill, Mount Street – A2100 High Street, Ten Sixty Six roundabout, London Road – A21(T) Johns Cross roundabout, Vinehall Road, Woodmans Green Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 23 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 09:30hrs to 16:00hrs between 23 and 26 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (C21 Pottery Lane, Brede)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Pottery Lane – from the junction with C21 Brede Lane to the junction with A28 Cackle Street.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C21 Brede Lane – B2244 The Street, Sandrock Hill, Hawkhurst Road, Compasses – B2165 Cripps Corner Road – B2089 Catts Green, Whorne Woods, Tank Hill, Chitcombe Road – A28 Cackle Street and vice versa.

The Order commences 25 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 25 and 27 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C297 Station Road, Winchelsea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County

Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Station Road – from the junction with C297 Dumb Womans Lane to the junction with A259(T) Tanyard Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic southbound via C297 Dumb Womans Lane – B2089 Udimore Road, Ferry Road – A268 Station Approach, Cinque Ports Street, Wish Street – A259(T) Wish Street roundabout, Winchelsea Road, New Winchelsea Road, Royal Military Road, Tanyard Lane & northbound via A259(T) Tanyard Lane, Royal Military Road, New Winchelsea Road, Winchelsea Road, Wish Street roundabout – A268 Wish Street, Ferry Road – B2089 Ferry Road, Udimore Road – C297 Dumb Womans Lane.

The Order commenced 24 January 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 22 and 23 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6433 The Grove/Rope Walk, Rye) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow Centurion Traffic Management to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

The Grove/Rope Walk – for approximately 30 metres at the level crossing.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic northbound via U6433 The Grove, Deadmans Lane – A268 Rye Hill, Fishmarket Road – A259(T) Fishmarket roundabout, Fishmarket Road, South Undercliff, Strand Quay, Wish Street roundabout – A268 Wish Street, Ferry Road, Station Approach, Cinque Ports Street – U6433 Rope Walk and southbound via U6433 Rope Walk – A268 Tower Street, Landgate, Rye Hill – U6433 Deadmans Lane, The Grove.

The Order commenced 19 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 24 and 27 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.
