Cumberland - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Utility Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U2504 EVEREST MOUNT, WORKINGTON AND C2008 CROSBY) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:
1. U2504 Everest Mount, Workington from its junction with Richmond Road, extending in a northerly direction for approx. 50m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of Everest Mount, Sarsfield Road, Windsor Road and Richmond Road.
Duration: From 30 June 2025 for approx. 5 days (Ref: TTROC/14577)
2. C2008 Crosby from its junction with the A596, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 140m.
Alternative Route: via the A596, B5300 and C2008.
Duration: From 14 July 2025 for approx. 5 days (Ref: TTROC/14930)
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 30 June 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
