1. NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Newham on 17 June 2025 made the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be to:

(i) amend the structure of on-street parking charges and all diesel surcharge proposals;

(ii) introduce additional visitor permits and a new charge to the short-stay parking.

NOTE: the press notice dated 2 June 2025 at https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/4828267 states:

to remove the 6, 12 and 24 hour resident visitors’ permits and introduce a 2 hour and one calendar day residents’ visitor permit have been abandoned.

3. The changes being abandoned in article 2 above are detailed in the tables below:

4. Copies of the Orders, which will come into force on 23 June 2025 and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection by appointment during normal office hours at Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road E16 2QU, by telephoning 020 3373 6415 or by emailing traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk for a period of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made.

5. If any person wishes to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
