Moss Side Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Moss Side Lane, Stalmine With Staynall from its junction with Crook Dale Lane to outside property named Woodlands Farm.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 2359 hours on Friday 20th June 2025 until 1500 hours on Friday 27th June 2025 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. A diversion will be signed locally.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow the urgent repair to subsidence road to be carried out.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council consider it necessary or expedient by reason of works being executed on the following length of road that the prohibition should come into force without delay under Section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this Notice.
1. No person shall cause any class of traffic to proceed over that length of Moss Side Lane, Stalmine With Staynall from its junction with Crook Dale Lane to outside property named Woodlands Farm.
2. Nothing in this notice shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0900 hours on Monday 16th June 2025 until 2359 hours on Friday 20th June 2025 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. A diversion will be signed locally.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow the urgent repair to subsidence road to be carried out.
