Wesley Street - Revocation, Prohibition Of Waiting And Loading, Restriction Of Waiting, And Prohibition Of Stopping On School Entrance Markings

NOTICE OF MAKING
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(WESLEY STREET, BAMBER BRIDGE, SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH) (REVOCATION, PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND LOADING, RESTRICTION OF WAITING, AND PROHIBITION OF STOPPING ON SCHOOL ENTRANCE MARKINGS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 10 June 2025 Lancashire County Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the following:
a) The "Lancashire County Council (South Ribble Area) (On Street Parking Places, Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Consolidation Order 2009" insofar as it relates to:
i. Items (217)a) and (217)b) of Schedule 10.01;
ii. Items (11)a) and (11)b) of Schedule 13.01.
b) The "Lancashire County Council (South Ribble Borough Area) (Prohibition of Stopping on School Entrance Markings) Order 2011" insofar as it relates to Items (43)(i) and (43)(ii) of the Schedule.
2. Introduce a prohibition of waiting in the following lengths of road:
a) Wesley Street, Bamber Bridge, the north side, from its junction with the centreline of Station Road to its junction with the centreline of Brown Street;
b) Wesley Steet, Bamber Bridge, the south side, from its junction with the centreline of Station Road for a distance of 49 metres in an easterly direction.
3. Introduce a prohibition of loading and unloading in the following lengths of road:
a) Wesley Street, Bamber Bridge, the north side, from its junction with the centreline of Station Road to its junction with the centreline of Brown Street;
b) Wesley Steet, Bamber Bridge, the south side, from its junction with the centreline of Station Road for a distance of 49 metres in an easterly direction.
4. Introduce a restriction of waiting Monday to Friday between 8am and 9am in Wesley Street, Bamber Bridge, the south side, from a point 92.56 metres east of its junction with the centreline of Station Road to its junction with the Centreline of Mill Street.
5. Introduce a prohibition of stopping on school entrance markings Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm in Wesley Street, Bamber Bridge, the south side, from a point 49 metres east of its junction with the centreline of Station Road for a distance of 43.56 metres in an easterly direction.

This Order will come into force on the 23 June 2025. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of South Ribble Borough Council, Civic Centre, West Paddock, Leyland, PR25 1DH, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, PO Box 100, Preston PR1 0LD, and on Lancashire County Councils Website

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
