What is happening?

THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL (SOUTH GYLE ROAD) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025 – TEMP/25/83

The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate Network Rail bridge works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on any part of; and (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on both sides of South Gyle Rd from the extended south-west kerbline of Wester Broom Dr, south-westwards for 157m to South Gyle Train Station Car Park. Existing parking restrictions may be suspended on the affected section of road described. The alternative route for access to South Gyle Train Station with respect to the road closure is South Gyle Rd, Broomhall Dr, Wester Broom Ave, Meadow Pl Rd (B701), Glasgow Rd (A8), Sth Gyle Broadway, Gogarloch Rd & South Gyle Rd. The Order shall have effect from 23/06/25 to 30/04/26.
