What is happening?

THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL

(GILMORE PLACE AREA NO2.) (TEMPORARY ROAD

RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025 – TEMP/25/80

The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period to facilitate footway improvement works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on any part of Viewforth from the south east kerbline of Gilmore Pl to the north west kerbline of Viewforth Ter & (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on both sides of: (i) Gilmore Pl, from Upper Gilmore Pl to Viewforth Ter and (ii) Viewforth from Horne Ter to Viewforth Ter. Existing parking restrictions may be suspended on the affected sections of road described in (b). The alternative route for vehicular traffic with respect to the closure is: Gilmore Pl, Viewforth Ter & Viewforth. The Order shall have effect from 21/06/25 to 11/07/25.
