Kirkton of Menmuir to Edzell - Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting

What is happening?

TRAFFIC ORDER

On Monday, 16 June 2025 the Council made The Angus Council (C34 Kirkton of Menmuir to Edzell) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting) Order 2025, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, so that telecommunications apparatus repair works may be undertaken. The effect of the Order is to prohibit the driving and waiting of vehicles on the Kirkton of Menmuir to Edzell (C34) road from a point 380 metres or thereby west of its junction with the private access to Edzell Castle, westwards to the private access to Larkhall, a distance of four kilometres or thereby. Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained. The alternative route for vehicular traffic is eastbound via (Lethnot Road (C34), High Street (B966), Dunlappie Road, Kirkton of Menmuir to Strathcathro (C35), Caterthon Road (C35 - C34) and Kirkton of Menmuir to Edzell (C34).
