What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
SCHOOL HILL, CARNABY
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the
date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of
which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding
along School Hill, Carnaby between the junction of
Temple Lane to 30 metres south commencing 7 July
2025 to allow overhead cabling works to be carried
out safely. The closure will be between 09.30 hours
and 15.30 hours. The road closure is necessary
to enable the works to be carried out in a manner
consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated
that the works will be completed within six hours.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via School Hill, Church Lane,
Main Street, Temple Lane and vice versa.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access
will be maintained for emergency vehicles, residents
and pedestrians. Further information can be obtained
