What is happening?

SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Factory Road, Tipton)

(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Factory Road, Tipton which will be closed from its junction with Owen Street to the northern boundary line of property number 69 (access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits). A traffic diversion route will be signed for the Factory Road closure via Owen Street, Sedgely Road West, Hurst Road and vice versa.

In addition, there will be 2-way temporary traffic signals in operation on Owen Street at the junction of Factory Road for the duration of the Factory Road closure. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 11/07/2025 effective from 23/06/2025 (24hrs).Purpose –

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Parsonage Street, Oldbury)

(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Parsonage Street, Oldbury which will be closed from the junction of Popes Lane for approximately 35 metres. (22/06/2025) (access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits). A traffic diversion route will be signed for the Parsonage Street, Oldbury closure via Popes Lane, Tat Bank Road and vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 22/06/2025 effective from 22/06/2025 (08:00-18:00). The Borough Council of Sandwell (Lambert End, West Bromwich)

(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Lambert End, West Bromwich which will be closed from its junction with Wood Lane to the northern boundary of property number 3 (access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits). A traffic diversion route will be signed for the Lambert End closure via Wood Lane, Oak Lane, Dartmouth Street, Lambert Street, Harwoood Street and vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 27/06/2025 effective from 25/06/2025 (24hrs). The Borough Council of Sandwell (Newhall Road, Rowley Regis)

(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Newhall Road, Rowley Regis which will be closed from its junction with Bell End to the western boundary of property number 90 (access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits). A traffic diversion route will be signed for the Newhall Road closure via Bell End, Rowley Village, Church Road, Hanover Road, Church Road and vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 23/06/2025 effective from 25/06/2025 (24hrs). The Borough Council of Sandwell (Railway Street, Tipton)

(Temporary One-Way Road Closure) Order 2025 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Railway Street, Tipton which will be closed one-way in a north westerly direction from outside the Energy Training Hub to the junction of Horseley Road (access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits).A traffic diversion route will be signed via Horseley Heath and Horseley Road. The maximum durationis 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 13/07/2025 effective from 23/06/2025 (24hr).Purpose – To facilitate access for the construction of a new turning head by Midland Metro Alliance.
