SECTION 14

THE A19 TRUNK ROAD 

(SHERATON INTERCHANGE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A19 Trunk Road, in County Durham, to enable resurfacing works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start on 14 July 2025 for 1 week, or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 6am.

The effect of the Order will be to close the A19 southbound exit entry slip road at Sheraton Interchange; during which times suitably signed alternative routes will be available.

Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes).  The Order comes into force on 13 July 2025 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
