A6105 Duns Road - Temporary Road Closure

A6105 DUNS ROAD BERWICK-UPON-TWEED
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the A6105 Duns Road Berwick-upon-Tweed from its junction with Paxton Road heading in a north westerly direction for a length of 210 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 9th July 2025 until the 25th July 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the following dates:
9th July 2025 until the 10th July 2025 between the hours of 20:00 until 06:00 during this period
10th July 2025 until the 11th July 2025 between the hours of 20:00 until 06:00 during this period.
The Order however will remain in place until the 25th July 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being A1, A1167, A6105 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by CHC Highways on behalf of National Highways to carry out kerbing repairs to a central island of a junction. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
