What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
BRIDGE STREET, CLAY CROSS

WHEN: 07 July to 25 July 2025
WHERE: Bridge Street, Clay Cross between its Jct. with Eyre Street, for a distance of 120m in a northerly direction including at its Jct. with Eldon Street and Clay Cross bus station in its entirety.
REASON: To facilitate drainage and carriageway surfacing works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Clockwise - Bridge Street, A6175 Market Street, A61 High Street, Harris Way, Bridge Street. Anti-Clockwise - Bridge Street, Harris Way, A61 High Street, Eyre Street.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
