B6341 NEW MOOR TO ALNWICK
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order which will prohibit the use of vehicular traffic and restrict the speed of vehicular traffic on a section of highway on the B6341 New Moor to Alnwick in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 14th July 2025 until the 14th January 2026.
Road Closure:-
A road closure will be in force which will prohibit the use of vehicular traffic on a section of the B6341 New Moor to Alnwick from the gable end of Banktop house heading in a north easterly direction for a length of 520 metres in the County of Northumberland.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from 4th August 2025 until the 7th August 2025 between the hours of 20:00 until 06:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 14th January 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being B6341, A697, B6346, U3142 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
Speed Restriction:- 60mph down to 40mph
A speed restriction will furthermore be in force which will restrict the speed of all vehicular traffic from 60mph down to 40mph on a section of the B6341 New Moor to Alnwick from the gable end of Banktop house heading in a north easterly direction for a length of 520 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The speed restriction will be in force from the 14th July 2025 until the 7th August 2025 and will be in force at all times, the Order however will remain in place until the 14th January 2026.

The road closure and speed restriction have been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out civils and resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
