St Michael's Crescent - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ST MICHAELS LANE, ST MICHAELS CRESCENT, BOLTON LE SANDS, LANCASTER CITY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over the following lengths of roads;
I. St Michaels Lane, Bolton le Sands from its junction with A6 Bye-pass Road, to its junction with Coniston Road.
II. St Michaels Crescent, Bolton le Sands from its junction with St Michaels Lane to its end.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0930 hours until 1530 hours on Friday 20th June 2025 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. Vehicular access for residents and emergency service vehicles will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
St Michaels Lane – A6 Bye-pass Road – Mill Lane - Sunnybank Road – St Michaels Lane and vice versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow to provide a safe working area for engineers to access existing telegraph pole(s) to provide fibre overhead cabling for a customer to be carried out on behalf of Openreach.
