intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to
make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being
or proposed to be executed on or near the road and the effect
will be to prohibit any vehicle/pedestrian from proceeding in
that length of Church Street at Thorne in the City of Doncaster
District and suspend the One Way Order as described in the

Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce whilst works to install a new electrical connection
are undertaken.

Street, Silver Street.

The effect of the Order that will come into operation on the 1st
day of July 2025 will be to introduce a No waiting at any time
restriction on the following lengths of road:
i) Brander Close, Balby
Both sides
From the projected western kerb line of Wellingley Road, for a
distance of 25 metres in a generally north westerly direction.
ii) Grady Drive, Balby

From the projected Eastern kerb line of Wellingley Road, for a
distance of 25 metres in a generally south easterly direction.

Exceptions to the Order will permit waiting for the purpose of
picking up and setting down passengers, loading and
unloading goods, in connection with building industrial or
demolition operations, the removal of obstructions to traffic,
the maintenance of the roads and the services therein in
pursuance of statutory powers or duties, for the collection
and delivery of postal packets or if it is a vehicle being
operated by or on behalf of the South Yorkshire Safety
Camera Partnerships while carrying out roadside monitoring
or enforcement operations. The usual exceptions for disabled
persons vehicles are also included in the Order

The above order was made on the 18th day of June 2025.
The effect of the order will be to vary the Doncaster Borough
Council Public Footpath No 6 Adwick le Street (Part) Order
2020, so as to (1) stop up the public footpath running from
grid reference SE 5270 0781 west-north-westerly for some
186 metres to grid reference SE 5252 0786; (2) stop up the
unrecorded path running from grid reference SE 5263 0783
westerly for some 113 metres to grid reference SE 5252
0785, as shown on the order map.
