Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 19th June 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (PORTWAY AND WATLING STREET (PARTS), GREAT HOLM) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2204)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of road to allow Kori Construction to carry out works to replace the kerbs at the old Great Holm Fire Station location.
For the purpose of the above Order, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, wait in or proceed along the following lengths of road:
30th June – 14th July 2025 (09:30 – 15:30)
Portway V4 to A5 – from its junction with Watling Street to its junction with Kensington Drive.
Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route will be via Watling Street, Dansteed Way and Grafton Street
28th July – 11th August 2025 (09:30 – 15:30)
Watling Street H4 to H5 – from its junction with Highgrove Hill to its junction with Portway.
Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route will be via Dansteed Way and Fulmer Street and Portway.
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN BROUGHTON, LITTLE CRAWLEY, SHENLEY WOOD, WALTON AND WAVENDON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2175)
The effect of the above temporary Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following lengths of road to allow Anglian Water to undertake maintenance works within the carriageway.
16th and 18th July 2025 (8:00am – 5:00pm)
Chasewater Crescent, Broughton – Outside numbers 1 - 11.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Ulverston Crescent (and vice versa).
23rd July 2025 and 24th July 2025 (09:30 – 16:30)
Fulmer Street, Shenley Wood (northbound only) – from its junction with Childs Way to its junction with Chalkdell Drive
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Childs Way, Tattenhoe Street and Portway (and vice versa).
30th July 2025 – 1st August 2025 (between 8:00am and 5:00pm)
Gog Lane, Little Crawley – from its junction with A422 to outside Horncastle Barn.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via A422 and Chicheley Road (and vice versa).
21st July 2025 – 23rd July 2025 (between 8:00am and 5:00pm)
Newport Road, Wavendon – its access road to the Petrol Station.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via A421 Standing Way.
1st July 2025 – 3rd July 2025 (between 8:00am and 5:00pm)
Simpson Road, Walton – from its junction with Beales Lane to its junction with Simpson Drive.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Chase Avenue, Brickhill Street, Groveway and Simpson Drive (and vice versa).
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 17 June 2025, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WOODRUSH CLOSE, BEANHILL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2184)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of road to allow National Grid to carry out works to drill joint holes in the carriageway.
For the purpose of the above Order, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, wait in or proceed along the following length of road between 23rd June and 27th June 2025 (24 hours) : -
Woodrush Close, Beanhill – from number 23 to its dead end.
Whilst the closure is in place there will be no alternative route.
Access to properties will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

PUBLIC NOTICE 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, WALNUT TREE AND WAVENDON GATE) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 17th June 2025 made the above Traffic Regulation Order, under Sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2), 4(2), 53 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The general effect of the above made Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time restrictions (double yellow lines) along parts of Fyfield Barrow, Hindhead Knoll, Gregories Drive, Isaacson Drive and Sipthorpe Close in Walnut Tree and Wavendon Gate.
The made Order will take effect on 20th June 2025.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
PUBLIC NOTICE 5:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (BROOK END, NORTH CRAWLEY) (30MPH AND 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 17th June 2025 made the above Traffic Regulation Order, under Sections 84(1), (2) and (3), of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to extend the 30mph and 40mph speed restrictions on Brook End, North Crawley.
The made Order will take effect on 20th June 2025.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (CHAFFRON WAY (H7), MILTON KEYNES) (40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1), (2) and (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce a 40mph speed restriction on both sides of Chaffron Way (H7) in Milton Keynes.
The current speed restriction on that part of Chaffron Way (H7) is national speed.
Milton Keynes City Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on the above proposal. Copies of the proposed Order, together with plans showing the general arrangements and a statement of reason, may be inspected on the Council’s website at:

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, MILTON KEYNES) (40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1), (2) and (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce a 40mph speed restrictions on parts of Great Monks Street (V5), Ridgeway (H1) and Millers Way (H2) in Milton Keynes.
The current speed restrictions on the above roads is national speeds.
Milton Keynes City Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on the above proposal. Copies of the proposed Order, together with plans showing the general arrangements and a statement of reason, may be inspected on the Council’s website at:

PUBLIC NOTICE 8:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (A4146 TONGWELL STREET (V11), MILTON KEYNES) (PROHIBITION OF U-TURN) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1) and 2(1) to (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to prohibit u-turn manoeuvres on A4146 Tongwell Street (V11), at its junction with Oakworth Avenue, Broughton in Milton Keynes.
Milton Keynes City Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on the above proposal. Copies of the proposed Order, together with plans showing the general arrangements and a statement of reason, may be inspected on the Council’s website at:

PUBLIC NOTICE 9:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (NOON LAYER DRIVE, MIDDLETON) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2(1), (2) and (3), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1) and (3), and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce no waiting restrictions between 8:15am and 9:15am, and between 3:00pm and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday on parts of Noon Layer Drive in Middleton, adjacent to Midleton Primary School.

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF MILTON KEYNES) (VARIOUS ROADS IN MILTON KEYNES AND SURROUNDING AREAS) (20 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ZONES) ORDER 2021) VARIATION ORDER 2025 (No.3)
Milton Keynes City Council as the Local Highway Authority proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order, under Sections 82(2), 83(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 proposes to make the above traffic regulation Order.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce 20mph speed zones in Wolverton, Old Wolverton and Stratford Park.
Milton Keynes City Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on the above proposal. Copies of the proposed Order, together with plans showing the general arrangements and a statement of reason, may be inspected on the Council’s website at:

Milton Keynes City Council as the Local Highway Authority proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order, under Sections 82(2), 83(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 proposes to make the above traffic regulation Order.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce 20mph speed zone in Tattenhoe, Milton Keynes.
