What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
C61 OUTCHESTER JUNCTION
TO HUMBLETON HILL JUNCTION SPINDLESTONE
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C61 Outchester Junction to Humbleton Hill Junction Spindlestone from its junction with U2006 Outchester Junction to Waren Mill Junction, Waren Mill heading in a westwards direction for a length of 51 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 14th July 2025 until the 14th February 2026
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 14th July 2025 until the 7th December 2025 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 14th February 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the C61, B1342, U2006 and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council for bridge replacement works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
