What is happening?

FALKIRK COUNCIL

THE FALKIRK COUNCIL (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

The Council has made the Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily prohibit vehicles on:

Quintinshill Drive, Larbert from 08:00 until 18:00 on 20/06/25. The prohibition is to allow for Scottish Water works to be undertaken.
1. This order temporarily closes Quintinshill Drive, Larbert from a point adjacent to Gallipoli Place in a northerly direction for approximately 100m metres or thereby.
2. No alternative route available - local access to be maintained as far as practically possible.

Osborne Street -Osborne Gardens, Falkirk from 07.30 hours on 23/06/2025 until 17.00 hours on 25/06/2025. The prohibition is to allow for carriageway resurfacing.
1. This Order temporarily closes: Osborne Street from its junction with Windsor Road to its junction with Bantaskine Street. Osborne Gardens from its junction with Osborne Street to road end.
2. The alternative route: Windsor Road, Greenhorns Well Crescent, Bantaskine Street and vice versa.

Lock Sixteen, Falkirk from 17:00 on 23/06/25 until 17:00 on 01/08/25. The prohibition is to allow for Bridge repairs to be undertaken.
1. This order temporarily closes Lock Sixteen, Falkirk from a point adjacent to Portdownie in a northerly direction for approximately 50 metres or thereby.
2. The alternative route is: B816, A803, Union Road or vice versa.

B903, Blackness from 09:30 on 24/06/25 until 15:30 on 25/06/25. The prohibition is to allow for telecommunications works to be undertaken.
1. This order temporarily closes B903, Blackness from a point adjacent to Cauldcoats in a westerly direction for approximately 750 metres or thereby.
2. The alternative route is: A904, Cauldcoats, B903 or vice versa.

College Crescent, Falkirk from 07.30 hours on 25/06/2025 until 17.00 hours on 28/06/2025. The prohibition is to allow for carriageway resurfacing.
1. This Order temporarily closes College Crescent from its northern and southern junctions with Middlefield Road.
2. No alternative route available - local access to be maintained as far as practically possible.

A9 Stirling Road, Larbert from 07:30 hours on 29/06/25 until 17:00 hours on 02/07/25. The prohibition is to allow carriageway surfacing work to be carried out safely.
1. This Order temporarily closes A9 Stirling Road, Larbert from Royal Hospital Roundabout in a northerly direction to North Broomage Roundabout
2. The alternative route is: A9, A88, B902, B905 A9 and vice versa.

Arnothill, Falkirk from 08:00 on 30/06/25 until 17:00 on 11/07/25. The prohibition is to allow for Utility works to be undertaken.
1. This order temporarily closes Arnothill, Falkirk from a point adjacent to Cockburn Street in a westerly direction for approximately 150 metres or thereby.
2. The alternative route is: Arnothill, Maggie Woods Loan, Westburn Avenue, Cockburn Street or vice versa.
