(BYWAY OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC TEMPORARY CLOSURE)
ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by motor vehicles on Byway Open to All Traffic on that section of the U6038 Angerton Moor Cottage Junction To Marlish Junction for its entire length in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 27th June 2025 until the 10th November 2025.
The byway open to all traffic will be closed at all times during this period.
There is no alternative route available.
Access will be given to residents, businesses and farm vehicles. Enquiries should be made to Northumberland County Council’s Contact Centre 0345 600 6400 or at

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council due to flooding and severe deep ruts causing damage to vehicles and diesel spillages to seep into a pond. The road which goes through the river as a crossing point is now at a very dangerous depth which is a severe danger to pedestrians and vehicles attempting to cross.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
