Slyne Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BROADLANDS DRIVE, SLYNE ROAD, SLYNE, LANCASTER CITY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over the following lengths of roads;
I. Broadlands Drive, Slyne from a point outside property No.3 on Broadlands Drive, to its junction with A6 Slyne Road.
II. Slyne Road, from its junction with A6 Slyne Road to its junction with Main Road.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours on Monday 30th June 2025 until 1700 hours on Sunday 27th July 2025 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
I. Broadlands Drive – A6 Slyne Road and vice versa.
II. Slyne Road – A6 Slyne Road and vice versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow gas main replacement works to be carried out on behalf of Cadent Gas.
